Duration Calendar Entries

Duration Events: Duration events are simply events that will appear over a continuous date range on the calendar.

Existing Duration Events: Duration events are displayed for each month of a given year. When viewing duration events for the month of January 1999, you will see listed all duration events that would cause an event to appear on that calendar month.

Creating duration entries is a rather easy process. Simply specify the date range for the event. You can also check the skip weekends to prevent the event from appearing on the weekend.

There are a couple of unique feature to duration events: 1) All duration events will appear first on the calendar block display. This allows you to get a continuous bar across the calendar. 2) Continuous text can be listed across the duration of days. This is accomplished by placing semicolons between words when they are entered in the Calendar Text field of the Duration form. For example you might enter the following: Mike; On; Vacation; This; Week . This would then appear as follows on the block calendar display:

Sun Mon Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat
